Finland has delivered its 27th military aid package to Ukraine. Its total value is 198 million euros, according to the Ministry of Defense of Finland.

The ministry noted that the total value of defense equipment supplied by Finland to Ukraine now amounts to 2.5 billion euros.

"This powerful package, worth nearly 200 million euros, was formed in close cooperation with the Ukrainians. We are providing the support that will help Ukraine defend itself in a critical situation on the front line. This support must not weaken; on the contrary, it must be further strengthened now," said Finnish Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen.

He also clarified that, for security reasons, the exact contents of the aid package and the method and timing of delivery will not be disclosed. The assistance was provided taking into account Ukraine’s needs and the resource capabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

"The future of security in Europe depends on us Europeans. Defending Ukraine’s independence and military capability is now the most important piece of this puzzle," Häkkänen added.

Finland’s support for Ukraine

Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Finland has actively supported Ukraine in humanitarian, financial, and military-technical fields.

In the spring of last year, Presidents Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Alexander Stubb signed a bilateral security agreement. This agreement ensures Finland’s long-term support and deepens cooperation between the two countries.

Earlier, we reported that in December, Finland allocated its 26th aid package to Ukraine, worth 25 million euros. It included, among other things, winter equipment for Ukrainian troops.
