Finland has allocated a new, 26th aid package to Ukraine worth 25 million euros. It includes, among other things, winter gear for Ukrainian soldiers, according to the Finnish Ministry of Defence.

It is noted that the replacement of the items included in the shipment is estimated by Finland at approximately 25 million euros.

Additionally, preparations for the next aid package, which will be implemented after the end of the year, are already underway at the Ministry of Defence.

"Finland has now delivered defense materiel to Ukraine to a total value of EUR 2.3 billion. This time the package contains winter equipment for Ukrainian troops, for example. Finland is one of Ukraine’s strongest supporters, and we have no plans to change that," stated Defence Minister Antti Häkkänen.

For operational reasons and to ensure the safe delivery of aid, the specific contents, method, and schedule of the assistance are traditionally not disclosed.

Finland's assistance to Ukraine

Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, Finland has been actively supporting Ukraine in humanitarian, financial, and military-technical areas.

In April, Presidents Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Alexander Stubb signed a bilateral security agreement, which provides for long-term support from Helsinki and deepening cooperation between the two countries.

Additionally, in September, Finland announced a new aid package for Ukraine worth 118 million euros.
