The Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine's Ministry of Defense has released archival footage of the combat operations of the Artan special unit in the Lyman direction.

According to the report, during a raid deep into enemy positions, Ukrainian intelligence operatives cleared several enemy shelters. As a result of the operation, the unit also reinforced the exchange fund with Russian servicemen.

The video captures dynamic episodes of the special forces’ combat activities while carrying out the mission.

The Main Intelligence Directorate notes that such raids are part of a systematic effort to weaken enemy positions in the eastern direction.

Situation on the front

Earlier, the head of communications for the Joint Forces Group, Viktor Trehubov, reported that the plans of Russian forces for January have become known. According to him, the occupiers are attempting to bypass Vovchansk and advance toward Lyman.

He also noted that the enemy has intensified pressure in the Kupiansk district, but all attempts to break directly into the city have failed. The defense forces maintain full control of the situation and thwart enemy infiltration attempts.

Commenting on the situation in Pokrovsk, the commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, Oleksandr Pivnenko, emphasized that Ukrainian units are building up forces for counterassault operations, although difficult weather conditions significantly complicate combat.

At the same time, Ukrainian forces retain control over the northern part of Pokrovsk and hold the enemy at the approaches to Myrnohrad.
