In South Korea, during training exercises, a fighter jet mistakenly dropped several bombs on residential areas near Seoul. As a result of the incident, seven people were injured, according to the Yonhap news agency.

It is reported that on Thursday, March 6, at least one fighter jet from the Air Force mistakenly dropped bombs outside the training range during live-fire exercises.

The KF-16 fighter jet, at 10:04 AM local time, abnormally dropped eight MK-82 bombs outside the training area in Pocheon, located 42 kilometers northeast of Seoul.

According to local authorities, as a result of the incident, seven people were injured – five civilians and two military personnel. The condition of two of the injured is serious, but their lives are not in danger. Additionally, seven buildings were damaged.

The military is investigating the incident and has apologized for the harm caused to the civilian population.

It is worth noting that in December of last year, the Chief of Staff of the South Korean Army, General Park An-su, was removed from his duties.

The reason for this was his position as commander during the brief state of martial law imposed by the country's president, Yoon Suk Yeol.
