US President Donald Trump will be the first recipient of FIFA's newly established Peace Prize. He will receive the honor during the 2026 World Cup draw, which takes place today, according to The Athletic.

The newly established prize, announced on November 5, aims to honor individuals who make a significant contribution to peace and global unity. Donald Trump is the first recipient. After receiving the prize, he is expected to speak on stage during the nearly two-hour event.
The draw for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, hosted by the US, Mexico, and Canada, will take place at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington.
Interestingly, the announcement of the prize coincided with preparations for a meeting between FIFA President Gianni Infantino and Donald Trump.

After the official prize presentation, Trump will have the opportunity to speak on stage during the show, which is expected to last almost two hours.
The group stage draw begins today, December 5, at 7 p.m. Kyiv time.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be held across three countries for the first time – the US, Canada, and Mexico. The main tournament will take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
Earlier reports stated that the Iranian delegation would be unable to participate in the draw due to a decision by the US president.
