Many European countries are already receiving liquefied natural gas to replace imports from Russia. It is necessary to find a system under which every European country can obtain energy resources at a good price, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said this at a press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"I will not go into detail about what I heard yesterday from Trump (US President Donald Trump – ed.) because I see it in a rather interesting context. On the one hand, we see that many European countries are receiving LNG, so for us, it is truly a task to find a system that will ensure each country receives energy efficiently and at a good price," Fico said.

He clarified that there were "many announcements" regarding energy supply. He added that now ministers need to work closely together on this issue.

Trump is unhappy with Slovakia

Yesterday, on September 4, Western media, citing sources in the White House, reported that US President Donald Trump, in talks with European leaders and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, demanded that Europe completely stop importing Russian oil and gas.

Later, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the US leader is very dissatisfied that Hungary and Slovakia continue to import Russian gas.

Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron noted that Washington is concerned about Hungary and Slovakia purchasing Russian oil.
