Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, during a meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, criticized Ukrainian attacks on the Druzhba oil pipeline and promised to visit Uzhhorod, according to Russian media.

At the meeting with Putin, which took place in Beijing, Fico said that Slovakia reacts “very harshly” to such incidents.

The Slovak Prime Minister told the Kremlin leader that he “intends to raise this issue at the upcoming meeting with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.” Their talks are scheduled for September 5 in Uzhhorod.

Fico also thanked Putin for the “hospitality provided to the country’s delegation during the recent visit to the Victory Parade in Russia.”

Strikes on Druzhba

Earlier, Ukrainian drones have already attacked the Druzhba oil pipeline in Russia several times. As a result of these strikes, supplies of Russian oil to Hungary and Slovakia were suspended.

In this regard, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó began threatening that if the strikes continue, Hungary will stop exporting electricity to Ukraine.

Recently, on August 28, the Hungarian authorities announced that the commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, had been banned from entering Hungary and the Schengen zone.

In response, the Ukrainian soldier pointed out that Hungarian money paid for Russian oil is then used to manufacture drones and missiles, which, under Putin’s orders, destroy peaceful Ukrainian cities.
