FBI director urges Congress to probe destination of US aid to Ukraine

FBI Director Kesh Patel stated that he has asked the US Congress to investigate where the money sent for aid to Ukraine has gone. According to him, the US cannot fully trust Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who allegedly does not disclose where the funds are being directed, reports The Epoch Times.
"Our money was being utilized against us, against American service members, and against our allies (in Afghanistan – ed.) there, literally. I’m afraid that’s where we’re heading right now. We haven’t even gotten to the other things that we have given the Ukraine. This is just pure cash that we’re talking about right now. I’ve asked this Congress to investigate where this money has gone. The American people are owed that answer because it’s our money. It’s our taxpayer dollars," Patel said.
He added that the issue is not about the US sending a billion dollars, but rather that the amount sent to one country is one hundred times that billion.
"I don’t know how this Congress is allowed to get away with it. Zelenskyy is out there; he went on the world stage and said, 'Russia fired a rocket into Poland,' which would literally be an act of war. It turned out that Russia fired no such rocket. It turned out that the rocket came from Ukraine and was fired into Poland," said the FBI director.
He added that if Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy asks for even more financial aid and equipment, he should "be more prepared about these global statements that bring us to the precipice of war."
"We just can’t have full faith and trust in giving a leader $100 billion and then having him say, 'I’m not telling you where the money went.'” Patel concluded.
