If you're looking for the perfect jacket for fall but still can't decide, remember that this season is the best time to experiment with your wardrobe. You can always find trendy pieces that suit your personal style. Ukrainian stylist Diana Kuryliuk shared which outerwear is perfect for the autumn season.

Bomber jacket

The bomber jacket is a versatile piece that combines style and practicality. It serves its main purpose (keeping you warm during fall) well.

The bomber allows for experimenting with different cuts and styles. The most common combinations include jeans, leggings, Bermuda shorts, or tailored trousers paired with knit sweaters, long sleeves, T-shirts, or shirts.

This item can also be styled with classic suits, dresses, or skirts. This mix of masculine and feminine elements makes your look even more relevant. You can pair it with various types of footwear, such as loafers, boots, ballet flats, sneakers, or even heels for a more daring touch.

Faux fur

Faux fur pieces were trendy last season and have now reached peak popularity. However, they've already become timeless wardrobe staples.

Outerwear made of faux fur comes in many variations, including classic cropped and long coats, as well as full-length fur coats. You can also find jackets, blazers, and shearling coats with fur inserts that add a fashionable edge to your outfit.

Such a piece can be paired with more classic clothing, such as blazers, tailored trousers, or jeans, as well as with leather pants or skirts. If you're ready to experiment, faux fur also pairs well with sporty pieces.

The main rule here is relevance: the items should look up-to-date. As for footwear, you can choose ankle boots, cowboy boots, high boots, over-the-knee boots, heels, or chunky boots. This item will make your fall not only stylish but also exceptionally warm.

Vests

A vest is perfect for the warmer part of autumn. It works well for casual or smart-casual looks, where you can mix practical and comfortable pieces, such as long sleeves, blazers, turtlenecks, sweaters, and shirts.

You can also go for a more classic vibe by pairing it with skirts, trousers, or feminine slip dresses. For cooler weather, consider wearing a vest under a coat, a wool blazer, or a denim or leather jacket. For a bolder choice, pair it with a raincoat. This combination will look both practical and stylish for active days.

Trench coat

A trench coat is one of the most essential wardrobe staples for spring and fall. It's a practical item that's easy to adapt to any wardrobe.

Its dense fabric also makes it great for keeping warm in autumn. There are many trendy versions of trench coats this season. New collections and runway shows feature a variety of cuts: structured shoulders, voluminous sleeves, layered designs, draping, and asymmetry.

There is also a wide range of materials, including leather (animal-skin imitations), denim, and satin options for warmer weather. Those who prefer basics can choose beige, gray, or black tones. But if you want to make your trench a statement piece, the stylist suggests going for chromatic colors (yellow, red, blue, purple, green, and their related shades).

Shackets (a mix of a shirt and jacket)

A shacket is a stylish piece that adds a finished touch to any look. This warm overshirt is a versatile addition to both women's and men's wardrobes.

It's usually made of warm fabrics, such as wool or tweed. You can experiment with different styles, for example, pairing it with jeans and a sweater, a long-sleeve or T-shirt, or using a contrasting approach by combining a casual shacket with classic trousers, skirts, or dresses.

Coat

A coat is a classic must-have item in every woman's wardrobe. However, the expert pointed out one crucial detail to keep in mind when choosing one: the fabric quality.

To make your coat last for many seasons, opt for materials like cashmere, wool, drape, or tweed. A small amount of synthetic fibers, up to 20 percent, is acceptable. These fabrics ensure durability and, most importantly, provide warmth during the cold autumn and winter months.
