During the attack on July 2 on the oil refinery in the Ufa area in Russia, an unknown drone was recorded, resembling the American stealth fighter F-117 Nighthawk. Clash Report suggests that this could have been the new Ukrainian jet strike drone Bravo Deep-Strike UAV Platform by Triada Robotics, but there is no official confirmation of this information.

In the published footage, the aircraft has an unusual shape for most Ukrainian long-range UAVs and is likely equipped with a jet propulsion system. This could indicate a new stage in the development of Ukrainian long-range strike capabilities, or it could have been a test of some foreign drone from Ukraine's allies.

What is known about the Bravo drone

If this was a product of the Ukrainian Triada Robotics, then, according to the developers themselves, Bravo is a jet-powered disposable strike drone for deep strikes. The declared characteristics of the platform:

  • Flight range – over 2000 km;
  • Cruising speed – about 600 km/h;
  • Maximum speed on the terminal segment – up to 800 km/h;
  • Warhead – over 100 kg;
  • Flight altitude – up to 5000 meters.

According to the developers' concept, Bravo is intended to combine the capabilities of a cruise missile and a drone: to be cheaper than traditional long-range missiles, while at the same time having a significant operational range.

Of course, the company's website only shows general outlines of the drones, so the rear part is slightly different. It is possible that the shape of the fuselage was changed.

Ukraine is testing a new long-range UAV Bravo, which can strike targets at a distance of up to 2000 km.

Why the aircraft is compared to the F-117

The main feature of the drone captured on video is its shape. Observers noted the similarity of the silhouette to the American stealth fighter F-117 Nighthawk, which was designed using radar cross-section reduction technologies.

However, the shape itself does not necessarily mean the aircraft has full-fledged stealth characteristics. Similar geometry can also be used to improve aerodynamics or reduce visibility to certain types of radar.

Nevertheless, the emergence of a jet-powered long-range drone of this class could significantly change the capabilities of Ukrainian strikes on targets deep in Russia's rear.

What else is known about the strikes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine into the rear of the Russian forces

Over the past two weeks, the Defense Forces of Ukraine have been striking the warehouses of Russia's largest marketplace, Wildberries, almost daily. As a result of the attacks, between 17% and 22% of the company's entire logistics infrastructure was damaged.

Ukraine also has not forgotten about enemy oil refineries. On the night of August 2, the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck the Saratov oil refinery, the Engels airfield, an oil depot in the Kaluga region, and other enemy targets.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that Russia is restoring damaged oil refineries. He outlined a plan of action that would prevent Russian force from regaining stability in the energy sector.
