Russian army deployed three surface-to-surface missile carriers for combat duty in the Black Sea, according to the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine.

"Enemy forces deployed three surface-to-surface missile carriers - two frigates and a small missile ship - for combat duty in the Black Sea," the statement reads.

It is noted that the total readiness for use is 24 Kalibr missiles.

The Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine emphasized that the level of missile threat is extremely high.

In the Black Sea, missile carriers are back on duty after a pause

Recently, after a pause, Russia deployed three missile carriers to the Black Sea for combat duty. It should be mentioned that the enemy refrained from such actions for a long time due to a powerful storm at sea.

In turn, the Armed Forces of Southern Ukraine urge for a prompt response to air alarm signals.

Threat of New Year attacks

Last New Year, Russian forces launched massive air attacks on Ukraine. Therefore, a repetition of this scenario this year is not excluded.

In particular, spokesperson for the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, Natalia Humeniuk, noted that an increase in shelling from occupation forces during the Christmas-New Year holidays is possible. However, she emphasized that it is not advisable to tie specific events to the calendar date, as the enemy may escalate terror regardless of the calendar.

Additionally, Yurii Ihnat, spokesperson for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, pointed out that anything can be expected from the enemy. Last New Year, the aggressor launched a record number of missiles into Ukrainian territory. This time, Russia has about 1000 missiles in reserve.

According to the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, Russia is accumulating missiles of various types for new attacks on Ukraine, but Ukrainian military officials have already stated that this winter the occupant is likely to focus on kamikaze drones.
