A series of explosions has occurred in Grozny, the capital of Chechnya. The city is under attack by combat drones, according to Niyso and Exilenova+.

The explosions occurred around 7:00 a.m. Kyiv time. Approximately two drones fell in the city area.

According to preliminary reports, one drone struck the Second Regiment, while the other targeted an OMON base.

In total, four explosions were heard in the city.

Footage suggests the blast was powerful, and the aerial object was the size of an aircraft.

"Before the impact, the sound of gunfire was clearly audible, indicating that personnel were prepared for the incoming drones and attempted to shoot them down, but they were unable to stop them," the report states.

It is noted that the drone attacked the OMON base.

Drone attacks on Grozny

In the early hours of December 12, combat drones targeted the building of the Second Regiment of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Grozny.

Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov claimed that air defense systems allegedly shot down the drones, but falling debris caused a fire in the building. He accused Ukraine of the attack and vowed retaliation.

Drones also targeted Kadyrov’s special forces regiment on December 4. The strikes resulted in injuries among local residents.
