Attacks on Chechnya

This is not the first drone attack on Chechnya. On December 4th, an explosion was reported in Grozny, and the Carpet plan was implemented at the local airport.

On the same day, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov confirmed the drone attack on the special police regiment named after Akhmat Kadyrov.

This refers to the 141st Special Motorized Regiment named after Akhmat Kadyrov (military unit No. 4156, also known as the Sever (North) regiment or Kadyrovtsy), a unit of the North Caucasus district of the Russian National Guard, based in Grozny. Since 2022, this unit has been involved in Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Earlier, in late October, drones attacked the Kadyrov's Special Forces University in Chechnya.
