In occupied Crimea, a fire broke out at an oil depot in Simferopol around 2:30 a.m., reportedly at Krymnaftozbut near the Bitumne settlement, according to Russian Telegram channels.

The Krymskyi Veter channel wrote: “The fire started around 2:30 a.m. Our subscribers from the Simferopol district reported it. Drones were flying over the area beforehand.”

Subscribers of the channel suggest that the burning facility is the Krymnaftozbut oil depot.

Explosions heard on the Southern Coast of Crimea

Earlier, the same Telegram channel reported explosions that could be heard even on the Southern Coast of Crimea.

“Something is burning in Hvardiiske and near the State District Power Plant (SDPP) area in Simferopol,” the channel wrote after 2 a.m. It was also reported that there were four strikes in Hvardiiske, after which smoke rose.

Recent strikes in Crimea

On October 29, explosions and fires were reported across different parts of occupied Crimea, hitting at least one oil depot and possibly a military facility.

On October 17, an oil depot in Hvardiiske caught fire early in the morning.

Satellite images recorded two fire sites at the facility. Later that evening, Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces confirmed they had struck two oil depots in Crimea.
