On Monday, December 11, explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied Berdiansk, Zaporizhzhia region, according to the head of the Berdiansk City Military Administration, Victoria Halitsina.

Explosions in Berdiansk

Berdiansk, Zaporizhzhia region, located on the shores of the Azov Sea, used to be a popular tourist resort. The city was occupied by Russian troops in February 2022.

Explosions in Berdiansk are now commonplace. For example, on December 6, a powerful explosion occurred in the city. It was heard in several neighborhoods at once. The occupiers immediately blocked traffic in the area of the explosion's epicenter.

A few weeks ago, the Ukrainian military attacked the occupiers' airfields in Luhansk and Berdiansk. As a result, nine Russian helicopters, an air defense system, and an ammunition depot were destroyed.
