In the early hours of November 3, explosions were heard in Dnipro and the Zaporizhzhia region after Russian forces launched ballistic missiles toward the areas, according to Suspilne Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia regional head Ivan Fedorov, and the Ukrainian Air Force.
At 04:04 AM Kyiv time, Suspilne Dnipro reported that explosions were heard in the city.
At the same time, Zaporizhzhia regional head Ivan Fedorov confirmed explosions in the region, later clarifying that four blasts occurred in the Zaporizhzhia district. The extent of the damage is being determined.
Before the explosions, the Ukrainian Air Force had warned of a possible ballistic missile attack and detected a high-speed target moving toward Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia. Shortly after, the military urged residents of Dnipro to remain in shelters.
A new ballistic threat was later detected from the northeast, with additional high-speed targets recorded heading toward the Sumy region.
As of 04:19 AM Kyiv time, air raid alerts were active across much of Ukraine, including Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Cherkasy, Kropyvnytskyi, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Donetsk regions.
