Explosions rocked the Russian city of Taganrog on Saturday, December 16. According to the local Telegram channels, Russians deployed helicopters into the sky.

"Approximately at 12:30 (local time), there was a loud bang in the North. Following that, 3 helicopters took off," Russians report on social media.

Telegram channels also share photos from the scene.

Local authorities have not yet commented on the situation in the city.

It is worth noting that Taganrog is located in the Rostov region. The distance from this city to the territory controlled by Ukraine is approximately 200 km.

Recall that on the night of December 14, near Moscow and in the Kaluga region, explosions were heard. Russians complained of drone attacks. Later, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported nine drones allegedly shot down over the Moscow and Kaluga regions.

In particular, the Mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, announced the repulsion of a drone attack flying towards Moscow. Allegedly, the UAV was landed just over 80 kilometers from the Russian capital.

Sources of RBC-Ukraine in the special services reported that the drone attack on Russia was a special operation by the Ukrainian intelligence. The targets were military facilities.
