On the night of March 23, Russians complained about the sounds of explosions in Volgograd. According to their reports, unidentified drones attempted to attack the local oil refinery, according to Russian Telegram channels.

In particular, residents of the city told the SHOT channel that they heard at least three explosions in the Kirovsky district of Volgograd. It is claimed that the air defense system allegedly shot down aerial targets approaching the local oil refinery. According to witnesses, they heard the characteristic sounds of drones and saw flashes in the sky. One of these flashes was captured on video.

Currently, there is no official information regarding casualties or damage.

In addition, the SHOT channel reported that at least two explosion sounds were heard in the town of Kalach-na-Donu, Volgograd region (about 66 km from Volgograd). According to preliminary data, unknown drones were flying at low altitudes through the cities of Morozovsk, Surovikino, and Kalach-na-Donu from the Rostov region.

On the night of March 21, explosions were also heard in the Volgograd region. Drones were reportedly spotted flying toward the local airfield.

Additionally, we reported that on the night of March 21, a second explosion occurred at the oil refinery in the town of Kropotkin, Krasnodar Krai, Russia.
