The situation in Melitopol

Russian military forces occupied Melitopol in the first weeks of the full-scale invasion. The occupiers have turned the city into their "command center."

Meanwhile, a partisan movement has emerged in Melitopol and other occupied settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. Lately, there have also been frequent explosions, causing unease among the Russian occupiers.

Mainly, on August 13, a powerful explosion occurred near Melitopol, which could have destroyed the occupiers' military base.
