On the night of October 7, explosions were reported in Odesa immediately after the announcement of an air alarm, according to Suspilne.

At exactly 2:00 AM, an air alarm was declared in the region. The Air Force warned of the threat of ballistic missile deployment.

Just a minute later, reports of explosions emerged. Oleh Kiper, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, called on residents of the Odesa region to seek shelter and remain there until further notice.

Drone attack in the Odesa region on October 6

On the night of October 6, the Russian army launched kamikaze drones in an attack on the Odesa region. As a result of the attack, a grain storage facility and several trucks were damaged.

According to the Odesa Regional Military Administration (RMA), the air alert in the Odesa region lasted for three and a half hours. Three enemy drones were shot down over the region, but there were also impacts.

The Russians targeted the border and port infrastructure in the Izmailsky district. As a result of the attack, a grain storage facility was damaged, and nine trucks caught fire. The fire has since been extinguished, and there were no casualties.

Furthermore, due to the attacks in the Izmailsky district, ferry service has been temporarily suspended.
