Explosions in Donetsk

In the temporarily occupied Donetsk, local residents heard explosions during the night of January 1. The "authorities" claimed it was supposedly shelling from the side of Ukraine.

The so-called head of the DPR (Donetsk People's Republic - ed.) Denis Pushilin announced 4 dead and 13 wounded as a result of the shelling. Later, according to information from local "war correspondents," it became known about the death of one journalist.

Russian media report that allegedly Ukrainian forces fired 15 missiles from MLRS at the city.

It was also revealed that the Donbass Palace hotel suffered damage as a result of the shelling.

Previously, a fire broke out in one of the universities in the temporarily occupied Donetsk where Russian military personnel could have been based.

On December 15, a strong fire was reported in the temporarily occupied Donetsk. Later, it was clarified that the Budionnovskyi district of the city was hit. An oil depot caught fire as a result.
