Explosions in Kyiv region, air defense system in operation

Explosions were heard in the Kyiv region tonight, January 2. Enemy drones have been spotted in the region, and air defense forces are working, reports the Kyiv military administration.
"UAVs were spotted in the airspace. Air defense forces are working on targets," the statement said.
The Kyiv City Military Administration also noted that air defense forces are working in the suburbs of the Ukrainian capital.
People are urged to stay in shelters during the air raid.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Air Force reported the movement of drones:
- in Obukhiv district in the direction of Kyiv
- in Makariv district of Kyiv region in the direction of Kyiv
- in Tetiiv district, Kyiv region, heading northwest.
Drone attacks in Ukraine
Tonight, Russia launched several dozen attack drones into Ukraine. Air alert has been declared in a number of regions, and air defense forces are working.
As a reminder, on New Year's Eve, Russian troops used a record number of Shahed-type attack drones - 90 units - to attack Ukraine. The Ukrainian Air Force said that they managed to shoot down 87 drones.
