On the night of September 28, explosions were heard in the Cherkasy region. Air defense forces are reported to be operating in the area, according to Ihor Taburets, the Head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration.
An air alarm has been declared in the region since 2:10 AM. Taburtsia stated an increased threat to the region.
"There is a threat of enemy use of strike UAVs. Air defense forces are operating in the region," he said.
Night attack on September 28
During the night of September 28, Russian forces carried out another aerial attack on Ukrainian territory. The Ukrainian Air Force reported the use of rockets and strike UAVs of the Shahed type by the Russians.
As of the time of publication, air alarms have been declared in the Sumy, Poltava, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Kherson regions.
