Explosions occurred in Yefremov, Tula region as drones attacked two distilleries
Explosions were reported in Yefremov, Tula region of Russia, on the night of October 22. Preliminary reports suggest that the city was targeted by drones, which subsequently led to a fire, according to Russian Telegram channels.
According to residents, at least two explosions occurred at 2:10 and 2:15 a.m. Residents reported that drones targeted the city, resulting in a fire near the Yefremov synthetic rubber plant.
At the same time, some Telegram channels reported that drones may have also fallen in the vicinity of the local CHP (combined heat and power) plant.
The governor of the Tula region, Dmitry Milyayev, confirmed the drone attack and stated that air defense forces allegedly neutralized it.
He also reported that the Efremov distillery and another distillery in the village of Luzhkovskyi in the Suvorovsky district were damaged.
"According to preliminary information, there are no casualties. Emergency service specialists are working at the scene. The situation is under control," he added.
On the night of October 20, air defense forces were activated across several regions of Russia due to drone activity. Explosions were reported, and fires broke out. According to official information, the repulsion of the attack occurred in at least eight regions.
Earlier, it was reported that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed a strike on an arsenal containing ammunition from North Korea located in Russia's Bryansk region.
