Explosions heard in several districts of occupied Crimea
In the temporarily occupied Crimea, explosions were heard in several areas on the night of August 2. Loud blasts occurred in Sevastopol, Balaklava, Saky, Yevpatoria, and Simferopol, according to Krymskyi Veter and governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhayev.
It is reported that explosions on the Ukrainian peninsula, occupied by Russian forces, occurred around 1:30 a.m.
Reports online indicate that a series of explosions were audible from Sevastopol to Balaklava.
"It was also loud in Saki, Yevpatoria, and even in Simferopol," according to a post by Krymskyi Veter on Telegram.
Russians complain about a drone attack and a missile strike
Meanwhile, Mikhail Razvozhayev, a representative of the administration in Sevastopol, claims that air defense forces are actively engaged in the area.
He also mentioned a supposed ballistic threat and later stated on his Telegram channel that several aerial targets had been intercepted.
"According to information from the Sevastopol Rescue Service, a part of a downed missile has reportedly fallen at a pedestrian crossing on Khrustaleva Street. Debris has also fallen on Ostriakova Street, where, according to preliminary information, parts of a downed UAV are burning," he wrote.
The official added that fragments of intercepted aerial targets were reportedly found on Symonka Street and in Uchkuevka.
There is currently no information regarding any casualties.

Possible damage to a ship repair yard
Additionally, there are reports online about a possible strike in Crimea near a ship repair yard.
According to Krymskyi Veter, the incident likely occurred in the area of the 13th Ship Repair Plant of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Kilen Bay, as mentioned by a resident. There is currently no confirmation of this information.
Shelling of Crimea
It should be noted that explosions frequently occur on the Ukrainian peninsula temporarily occupied by Russia due to strikes by Ukrainian Defense Forces on Russian military targets.
Earlier, it was reported that on the night of July 18, SSU drones attacked the Lake Donuzlav area, where the Russian Navy was conducting exercises. Satellite images later confirmed the strikes on this military base.
Additionally, on July 15, explosions were heard at an invader military unit near Cape Fiolent near Sevastopol, which was targeted by unmanned aerial vehicles.
At the end of July, satellite images revealed the aftermath of a Ukrainian strike on the Saky airfield used by the Russian army.
