Explosions heard in Kyiv against backdrop of Shahed drone attack threat
Explosions were heard in the Kyiv area on the night of November 10. An air raid alert is ongoing in the capital due to the threat of enemy attacks involving Shahed drones.
The explosion in Kyiv was heard around 00:03. A few minutes later, another series of explosions followed.
Before this, the Air Force reported detecting the movement of enemy strike drones, particularly heading toward the Kyiv region from the Chernihiv, Poltava, and Sumy regions.
Meanwhile, monitoring groups have reported the movement of enemy kamikaze drones toward the capital from various directions and suggest that the explosions are likely related to the work of air defense systems.
Massive drone attack
Additionally, air defense operations continue in the Kyiv region due to the threat of Shahed drones.
It was also reported that on November 9, an air raid alert was declared in Kyiv at 22:07 due to the threat of enemy drone attacks, and it is still ongoing.
Earlier, on the evening of November 9, Russian forces launched several groups of Shahed drones from different directions for strikes on Ukraine. As a result, air raid alerts were issued in several Ukrainian regions.
During the previous drone attack on the night of November 9, Russian forces launched 51 strike drones and drones of an unspecified type towards Ukraine. Air defense forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces worked in 11 regions.
During the repulsion of the enemy airstrike, 32 enemy drones were destroyed. Another 18 drones were locally lost in various regions of Ukraine.
