Russians launched over 50 drones at Ukraine on the night of November 9. Air defense systems were active in 11 regions, according to the Ukrainian Air Force on Telegram.

On the night of November 9, Russian forces launched 51 attack drones and unmanned vehicles of unidentified types from the Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Orel areas.

The strike was countered by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups. The main focus of the attack was the Odesa region.

As of 8:00 AM, 32 enemy drones have been destroyed, with another 18 drones lost across various regions of Ukraine.

Air defense systems were active in 11 Ukrainian regions, including Odesa, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, and Ternopil.

Impact of the attack

Odesa was heavily targeted during the night. Several high-rise buildings, private homes, administrative buildings, warehouses, and vehicles were damaged in the city.

Footage of a massive fire in Odesa following the drone attack was shared online.

Additionally, Russia struck Kharkiv with a guided bomb, hitting one of the city's major roads. The attack damaged a hotel, a hypermarket, and other civilian infrastructure.
