Explosions heard in Belgorod and surrounding area, causing destruction, casualties

The air defense system over Belgorod and the Belgorod region was activated and successfully intercepted several targets approaching the city. As a result of the attack, there are casualties, and residential and energy infrastructure has been damaged, according to the Belgorod region governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.
In Belgorod, after repelling the air attack using air defense systems, the glass was damaged in 21 apartments in 9 apartment buildings, roofs were damaged in three private residential buildings, windows were shattered, and facades were damaged at general school No. 15 and one commercial property. Six cars were also damaged.
There is also damage to the power transmission line, and emergency services are working on reconnecting to backup lines.
"In the Belgorod region, after repelling the air attack using air defense systems from the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the roof of one private residential building was pierced in the village of Severnoe, and one car was damaged in the village of Repnoye," wrote Gladkov.
According to preliminary information, there is one injured person - a woman with a spinal cord injury from shrapnel. She was taken to the regional hospital.

On the night of May 13, explosions were heard in Belgorod and the Belgorod region due to the work of air defense systems. As a result of the attack, damage to buildings and infrastructure was recorded.
During the day in Belgorod, there was an explosion, and a wall of a multi-story building collapsed. As a result, there were fatalities and injuries.
Additionally, Russian aviation dropped one of the guided aerial bombs on a settlement in the Belgorod region.
