Explosions and gunfire reported as Russia's Tuapse port comes under drone attack

In the area of Tuapse port (Krasnodar Krai, Russia), explosions are being reported following an attack by maritime drones, according to the head of the Tuapse municipal district, Sergey Boyko.
He wrote that maritime drones have been detected in the Black Sea waters and urged residents to leave the coastal area.
According to city residents, explosions and gunfire can be heard, and there are reports of communication disruptions. One video posted on social media showed smoke in the area and reported that the port was struck.
As of now, there is no official information from Russian authorities regarding the incident.
The attacked port is one of the key ports in the Black Sea. It hosts one of the largest oil terminals in Russia. Oil and petroleum products are transported through this port. In addition, it handles significant volumes of coal, mineral fertilizers, metal products, and grains, serving as a logistics hub connected to the railway network.
Strikes on Tuapse
Explosions in Tuapse are not happening for the first time - drones have previously attacked the local oil refinery. At that time, Russian media reported that a fire at the facility occurred due to debris from a downed UAV.
Earlier, Tuapse had already been targeted by drones, with eyewitnesses reporting around 40 explosions over the city.
Separately, explosions were reported in the Russian Novorossiysk on September 24 due to a drone attack.
Krasnodar Krai Governor Veniamin Kondratyev said the drones struck the city center, near the Novorossiysk hotel, and there are fatalities.
Photos and videos shared online also show that the Russian Black Sea Fleet, based in Novorossiysk, was under attack.
