Explosion reported near Odesa following Russian missile strike

In the Odesa region, on Tuesday, July 15, in the evening, local residents heard an explosion. It occurred during an air raid alert, according to Dumska and the Ukrainian Air Force.
Official sources have not yet disclosed the cause of the explosion. According to Dumska, Russian forces attacked the Odesa region with a ballistic missile.
Before the explosion, the Ukrainian Air Force had warned that Russia had launched a missile toward Odesa.
Strike on the port
On July 3, Russian forces attacked one of the berths of the Odesa seaport.
At the time of the strike, cargo operations were underway at the site, including the unloading of metal from a foreign vessel flying the flag of São Tomé and Príncipe.
Two people were killed in the attack. Another six, including foreign nationals, were injured.
Russia used an Iskander ballistic missile for the strike.
On July 11, Russian forces also attacked Odesa using Shahed kamikaze drones. At least eight people were injured in that attack.
