Explosion occurred at fireworks warehouse in Colombia - One victim, dozens wounded reported
A powerful explosion occurred at the El Vaquero powder warehouse located in the municipality of Soacha, Colombia. There are already 29 injured, according to El Colombiano.
According to media reports, the explosion occurred around 17:00 local time. A massive fire broke out at the fireworks warehouse, and locals reported hearing explosions shortly before it started.
The mayor of Soacha, Julián Sánchez, reported that 29 people were injured as a result of the explosion. One fatality has also been confirmed.
It is reported that firefighters are working at the scene of the explosion and have already brought the dangerous fire under control. Drivers have been asked to be cautious as traffic around the warehouse has been restricted.

"The authorities of the Soacha municipality, the official fire department of Soacha, the volunteer fire department of Soacha, the volunteer fire department of San Antonio del Tequendama, the official fire department of Bogotá, and the fire department of Cundinamarca continue to deal with the emergency situation," Mayor Sánchez reported.
In addition, it has been confirmed that a large number of houses and apartments located near the warehouse were damaged as a result of the explosion.
