In the evening of October 9, an explosion occurred in the temporarily occupied Sevastopol, with reports of a fire, according to Crimean Wind.

The explosion occurred around 23:55, and the authors of the publication also mention a fire in the direction of Bakhchisarai.

Other local Telegram channels report that an air raid alarm was not announced.

Explosions in Crimea

Explosions have become more frequent in occupied Crimea, and air raid alarms have been announced on the peninsula. The day before yesterday, an explosion occurred in Dzhankoy, and local residents saw traces of anti-aircraft defense activity in the sky. Following this, the Russian Ministry of Defense claimed to have allegedly shot down an S-200 missile.

On September 22, Russian air defense allowed missiles to pass, which struck the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol. Later, the Centre for Strategic Communications of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed that Ukrainian military personnel were behind the attack.

The head of Ukrainian Intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, stated that as a result of the attack on the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in the temporarily occupied Sevastopol, at least 9 people were killed, and 16 were injured, including Russian generals.
