Interior expert Abigail Ahern shared tips on how to transform a dull home into a boho paradise. First and foremost, she advises using the technique of mixing textures in interiors.
"Mix and match various textures. Think chunky knit throws, velvet cushions, a fluffy sheepskin rug, or a woven wall hanging," says Ahern.
For a cohesive look, she recommends using a particular texture at least three times. This will add harmony.o
"Roman blinds and curtains crafted from nubby boucle, soft corduroy, and Berber rug-inspired prints create a sense of cosy texture that instantly warms up a space," explains the expert.

Experts recommend experimenting with jewel tones such as emerald green or sapphire blue. Earth tones are also a good fit, like terracotta or rust, and even light yellow.
"Use your intuition when placing furniture. Don't be afraid to break away from traditional furniture arrangements," says the expert.
You should also consider smart lighting. A good solution is to combine overhead fixtures, lamps, and accent lighting, such as beautiful candles.
"Flea markets and vintage stores are treasure troves for the boho decorator. Look for unique pieces with character and a story to tell," advises Abigail.

"Don't shy away from contrasting materials. Pair a sleek marble coffee table with a rustic wooden side table or a plush velvet sofa with a distressed leather armchair," says the expert.
Indoor plants also help create a cozy boho atmosphere.
"Introduce lush greenery, hanging plants, or even a small indoor tree to infuse your home with life and a connection to nature," says Abigail.
She emphasizes the importance of not forgetting about your individual style in your home, which reflects your personality.
"Forget about sterile perfection, boho chic isn't about stiffness or following rigid rules," the expert urged.
