Maintaining cleanliness in the home is essential. Having the right set of tools on hand can help clean quickly and effortlessly, according to the Real Simple website.

Microfiber cloths

The cleaning expert said that microfiber cloths, dust cloths, and mop heads are her favorite cleaning tools.

Surfaces can be easily cleaned by simply dampening the cloth and wiping off dirt without any additional cleaning agents. This fabric is durable, lint-free, highly absorbent, and easy to clean.

Since these cloths are available in different levels of texture, they can be used to clean windows and mirrors, dust, or mop dirty floors.

Wash these cloths after each use.

Dishwashing liquid

These products contain degreasers that can be used not only for dishes, pots, and pans but also for other surfaces. Just a few drops in hot water can clean sticky floors, greasy stovetops and ovens, kitchen hoods, and even remove greasy stains from clothes.

Vinegar

Vinegar can be combined with dishwashing liquid and hot water in a spray bottle to create an effective all-purpose cleaner.

It's great for cleaning windows, small areas of mold in the bathroom, and removing soap scum from shower doors.

Baking soda

It is a natural product that can be used to clean stuck-on food in pans and ovens, freshen carpets, and increase the cleaning power of laundry detergents.

Cleaning brushes with nylon bristles

Having the right tool makes cleaning easier and gives you better results. Most of them have soft bristles for cleaning fabrics and glassware, while others have stiffer bristles for tougher tasks, such as cleaning grills.

The great thing about these brushes is that you can throw them in the dishwasher to clean and use them another day. Just remember to replace the brushes when the bristles become flattened and worn.

Keep the right cleaning products and tools for each room on hand to encourage more frequent use. For example, bathroom cleaning products should be stored in the bathroom, not in the kitchen.
