Exclusive: Ukraine's new Cabinet lineup revealed — big changes coming next week

The new government in Ukraine could form as early as next week. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal is expected to lead the Ministry of Defense in the new Cabinet, a source told RBC-Ukraine
According to the source, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has already made the decision. The new Head of Government is set to be Yulia Svyrydenko, Ukraine's First Deputy Prime Minister.
Meanwhile, the current Prime Minister, Denys Shmyhal, may become Minister of Defense in the new Cabinet. He would replace Rustem Umerov, who is expected to be appointed Ukraine's Ambassador to the United States.
Additionally, some ministries will be merged in the new government. There will also be a general redistribution of powers within the Cabinet. Several ministers are expected to lose their positions, but the exact list is still being finalized.
Cabinet shake-up
A few weeks ago, RBC-Ukraine sources from the Servant of the People (a liberal, centrist, pro-European political party in Ukraine) party reported possible government changes in mid-July.
The tentative dates for the vote are between July 15 and 17.
Yesterday, President Zelenskyy said Ukraine needs new steps in managing the country's defense sector. He added that decisions on this matter will come soon.
