Foreign ministers of European countries will meet in Berlin tomorrow, December 12, to discuss support for Ukraine, states the spokesperson of the German Foreign Ministry, according to The Guardian.

"Given the dramatic events in Syria over the last few days, it will come as no surprise to you that there is also a second important topic, namely the current developments in Syria and their impact on the region and Europe," said the spokesperson.

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock is expected to host her counterparts from France, Poland, Spain, Italy, and the United Kingdom. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha will also take part in the meeting.

Assistance to Ukraine

The issue of increasing support for Ukraine from European countries has become more pressing following Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential election.

Whether Trump will continue to provide military assistance to Ukraine's defenders remains unclear. Since the start of the full-scale war, the United States has been Ukraine's main ally in terms of military support.

Notably, on December 10, Polish Deputy Defense Minister Cezary Tomczyk urged Germany to increase its assistance to Ukraine, citing the risk that Trump's return to the White House could lead to a reduction in US support.

At the same time, Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal emphasized that support for Ukraine in the coming months "will determine the future of the European Union."
