According to the president, the aftermath of the Russian airstrike is still being dealt with in Sumy. As Zelenskyy noted, Russian troops used guided aerial bombs in the central part of the city, where civilians were located.
The president reported that people may still be trapped under the rubble of the multi-story building. Currently, four deaths are known, including a child.
Another 27 people were injured, including six children. Many of the victims are in serious condition.

Zelenskyy reported on new Russian attacks
The head of state also stated that during the day, Russian troops carried out new strikes on several regions of Ukraine.
According to him, in Zaporizhzhia, two people were killed as a result of a drone attack, six others were injured, and among the victims is a child.
In addition, as Zelenskyy noted, Kharkiv came under an FPV drone attack, resulting in casualties.
Settlements in Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk regions also came under fire.
Zelenskyy called for increased pressure on Russia
The president emphasized that, to stop such attacks, it was necessary to increase international pressure on Russia. He said that partners needed to increase pressure on Russia so that the terror would stop, adding that Russia would definitely hear the United States, the other G7 countries, the G20 countries, and Europe.
Zelenskyy also noted that European countries have tools to pressure Russia, in particular restrictions on the energy sector, the oil fleet, and the financial system. In addition, he said, it is necessary to continue strengthening Ukrainian air defense.
"We need to use this, and we need to take steps to strengthen our defense, primarily air defense. Thank you to all the leaders who are active and don't waste a single day.."
Earlier on the evening of July 3, Russian troops launched a massive strike on Sumy, using attack drones and guided aerial bombs. As a result of the attack, casualties among civilians were reported.
