Russia launches massive attack on Sumy with drones and aerial bombs

Russian forces launched a massive evening attack on Sumy today, July 3, using a large number of drones and guided aerial bombs. Casualties have already been reported, according to the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov.
According to Hryhorov, civilian infrastructure was hit. A residential area came under attack.
He stressed that there were casualties, including children. Rescue operations are ongoing.
The head of the Regional Military Administration warned that the attack was still underway. He urged local residents to stay off the streets and away from impact sites.

According to Hryhorov, at least three people were killed as a result of a guided aerial bomb strike on one of Sumy's central streets.
An apartment building, a store, and a road were at the epicenter of the attack. Many people were at the scene, including children.
The injured are being taken to hospitals. A 13-year-old child is in critical condition.
Strike on the Sumy region
Russian occupying forces regularly attack Sumy and the surrounding region. They often target civilians.
In particular, earlier today, July 3, the occupying forces struck an apartment building in the Romny community.
It was reported that four civilians were killed in the attack, including a girl who was less than two years old.
Three men were also injured in the Russian attack.
