The European Union will provide Ukraine with financial assistance of 35 billion euros in 2025 as part of the G7 ERA credit initiative and the Ukraine Facility program, this was announced by the Vice-President of the European Commission, European Commissioner for Trade Valdis Dombrovskis, on Twitter (X).

"The EU is delivering financial support through the G7 ERA loan initiative and the Ukraine Facility, with €35bn for 2025," wrote Dombrovskis after meeting with Ukraine's Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko in Davos.

He also added that he and Svyrydenko "discussed enlargement and steps to bring Ukraine closer to the EU’s Single Market."

EU financial aid to Ukraine

In October 2024, the EU Council approved a loan for Ukraine of up to 35 billion euros from frozen EU assets as part of the G7 commitments.

Recently, Ukraine's state budget received 3 billion euros from the European Union under the G7 ERA initiative. In total, the EU will provide 18 billion euros.
