EU foreign ministers will meet urgently after the statements made on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference. The meeting will take place on February 16 in Munich, the press service of the Greek Foreign Ministry informs.

"Minister of Foreign Affairs, George Gerapetritis, will participate tomorrow, Sunday, February 16, at 8:30 a.m., in the extraordinary meeting of the EU Ministers of Foreign Affairs, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference," the statement said.

The head of European diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, confirmed that EU ministers will hold an emergency meeting in Munich tomorrow to assess the reports received from US and Ukrainian officials.

Media reports say that comments by US Special Representative Keith Kellogg that he does not see Europe at the table for Ukraine have raised concerns among EU officials, including European Council President António Costa.

At the Munich Security Conference, Costa said that "there can be no credible negotiations, no sustainable peace without Ukraine and the EU."

Kellogg rules out Europe's physical participation in the talks

U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg said he does not see Europe physically at the table for Ukraine negotiations. However, he stressed that the interests of European countries will be taken into account.

This statement caused outrage among representatives of EU countries. French President Emmanuel Macron is convening a European summit in Paris early next week to address the latest statements by US President Donald Trump's representatives.

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine should decide who will attend the talks. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said that Europe should win its place at the table by being relevant in terms of costs and "good proposals."
