World leaders and EU leaders have arrived in Kyiv. A meeting will be held in the capital to discuss security and support for Ukraine, according to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

On the morning of February 24, the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion, world leaders and EU leaders arrived in Kyiv.

In particular, Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda, Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Miсhal, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and European Council President António Costa arrived in Kyiv.

According to AP, earlier the EU leadership was met at the Kyiv railway station. The Ukrainian side was represented by the head of the Presidential Administration Andrii Yermak and Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.

“On the 3rd anniversary of Russia’s brutal invasion, Europe is in Kyiv. We are in Kyiv today, because Ukraine is Europe,” Ursula von der Leyen emphasized.

The leaders of Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden also arrived, as reported by Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson.

Leaders of the partner countries will meet in Kyiv today to attend the anniversary events and discuss support for Ukraine amid recent changes in US policy under President Donald Trump.

President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen will participate in negotiations to end Russia's war against Ukraine, emphasizing that Ukraine needs a just and stable peace.

Earlier, during her opening speech at the Munich Security Conference, she said that the EU would increase its efforts to bring Ukraine closer to joining the European Union.
