Estonian Prime Minister: Trump administration is getting 'a little impatient'' about Russian games

The positions of the US and Europe on pressuring Russia are once again aligning. In particular, the US administration is "becoming a little impatient," states Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal, according to ERR.
"We have likely reached a point where the US — with its push for a 30-day ceasefire and its ability to enforce sanctions — and Europe together with Ukraine may be starting to act in unison, and the focus of that pressure is now shifting toward Russia," he said.
According to the prime minister, "the American administration is also becoming a little impatient with these Russian games."
Trump's stance on the war in Ukraine
President Donald Trump, despite his earlier plan to end the war in Ukraine within 24 hours not materializing, continues efforts to bring the conflict to an end.
At the same time, The Wall Street Journal reports that President Trump is frustrated by his failure to quickly resolve the war. According to him, settling the conflict has proven more difficult than he had expected.
Trump has also privately told advisers that President Putin does not want to stop the war and that both sides are refusing to compromise. He has expressed surprise at some of Putin’s military moves, including the bombing of areas with children.
Notably, Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin rejected a ceasefire in Ukraine starting May 12 and proposed negotiations in Turkey beginning May 15 — but without a truce. In response, Trump said he would continue working with both sides and that the coming week would be "big."
