Estonian intelligence predicts impact of Ukrainian strikes on warehouses in Russia
Russia will face a shortage of ammunition. The reason for this is the Ukrainian Armed Forces' attacks on ammunition depots in Crimea and the territory of Russia, according to Colonel Ants Kiviselg, head of the Estonian Defense Forces Intelligence Center.
Kiviselg states that the attacks on Russian military depots are likely to continue, which will further worsen the shortage of Russian ammunition.
According to him, Russian units have been ordered to accelerate the pace of fighting in Ukraine. The Russians need to do this to achieve their tactical goals before the mud season.
The colonel believes that the Russians will try to isolate Kurakhove and Selidove in the Donetsk region from the Ukrainian Armed Forces and will try to strengthen the captured positions in the Vuhledar district.
He also believes that soon Russia may try to unite the two fronts in Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions. However, according to the Kiviselg, Russia has the resources to quickly achieve this goal.
Strikes on Russian warehouses
At the end of September, weapons depots of the Russian occupiers were attacked in the Krasnodar Krai and Tver region. According to RBC-Ukraine's sources, the attack on the warehouse in Toropets, Tver region, was a special operation by Ukrainian defenders. The Security Service of Ukraine, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, and the Special Operations Forces took part in it.
Later, it was confirmed that the missile and artillery department was hit. The Russians were storing missiles for Iskander tactical missile systems, KN23 ballistic missiles, missiles for Tochka-U tactical missile systems, guided aerial bombs, S-300s, and artillery ammunition.
The strike on the missile depot in Toropets is an important achievement for Ukraine. There are only 13 such depots in Russia.
