Three drone attacks on the Bryansk region of Russia were reported on the morning of December 19, according to the Bryansk region governor Aleksandr Bogomaz.

According to Bogomaz, a "drone aircraft of an airplane type" was destroyed over the region, and he, as customary, accused Ukraine of the attack.

"The third attempt by Ukrainian terrorists to attack the territory of our region today has been detected and thwarted. Using the air defense systems of the Russian Ministry of Defense, a drone aircraft of airplane type was destroyed over the Bryansk region. There are no casualties or damage. Operational and emergency services are working at the scene," the governor wrote.

Meanwhile, local Telegram channels report sounds of explosions and share videos.

Drone attacks in Russia

Explosions and massive fires regularly occur on the territory of the Russian Federation. Some of these incidents, including those in Crimea, are attributed to drone attacks.

On December 16, Russian occupiers complained about a supposed drone attack on the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea. Russians claim to have shot down as many as 32 drones.

On the evening of December 15, a series of explosions rocked Kursk. However, the number of downed targets over the city varies in statements from local authorities and the Russian Ministry of Defense.

On the night of December 14, Russia claimed a UAV attack which was thwarted near Moscow. In the morning, RBC-Ukraine sources in intelligence services informed that the drone attack on Russia was a special operation by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The drone targets were in the Moscow and Kaluga regions.
