Enterprises in Tatarstan under drone attack
For the first time since the onset of the war, Tatarstan has come under drone attack, resulting in damage to several industrial facilities, according to the Telegram channel Mash.
"First time since the start of the 'Special Operation,' drones have targeted Tatarstan. Two UAVs struck factories in Yelabuga and Nizhnekamsk," the report reads.
According to local residents, explosions were also reported around 6 AM within the territory of the special economic zone Alabuga, situated outside the city.
Reportedly, the attack caused damage to a factory and dormitory. Casualties have been reported preliminarily.
The distance from the Ukrainian border to Yelabuga by road is 1,593 km, and by straight line - 1,237 km.
Earlier, Vadym Skibitskyi, a representative of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense's Intelligence Directorate, said that the Russians have deployed at least two lines of production for kamikaze Shahed drones in Yelabuga.
Drone attacks in Russia
Recently, four regions of Russia were targeted by drones, resulting in damage to residential buildings and a business center. A private residence also caught fire during one incident.
In March, an oil refinery in the Samara region was engulfed in flames, with witnesses reporting a drone attack at the time.
Throughout this year, Russian oil refineries have faced 15 attacks. Eight refineries with a combined annual capacity of 83 million tons have suffered significant damage.
