The Russian army attacked critical infrastructure in the Vinnytsia region overnight on September 25, hitting energy facilities, according to Natalia Zabolotna, the first deputy head of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration.

Zabolotna reported that Russia had attacked critical infrastructure in the Vinnytsia region, with strikes hitting energy facilities.

She added that all relevant emergency services had been dispatched to the scene.

Earlier in the night, starting at 01:40 AM Kyiv time, air raid alerts were declared in several districts of the Vinnytsia region due to the threat of drone attacks. About two hours later, the alerts were lifted.

At 06:15 AM Kyiv time, Zabolotna later clarified that part of the city had been cut off from power, and train traffic had been halted. Electricity and train operations have since been restored. No reports of damaged residential buildings or civilian casualties were received.

By 05:30 AM Kyiv time, the fire had been extinguished, and emergency services were continuing to work on eliminating the consequences of the attack.

Previous mass strike on Ukraine, September 10

The last strike on Vinnytsia region took place on September 10, when Russian forces launched cruise missiles and Shahed drones. In that attack, 11 missiles and 26 drones targeted civilian industrial infrastructure in the region.

That day, Vinnytsia was among several Ukrainian regions hit by cruise missiles. Launches were also recorded in Kyiv region and eastern Zhytomyr region, with missiles moving toward Kyiv, Zhytomyr, and western regions, while strikes also threatened Lviv and Zakarpattia.
