Elon Musk's X to launch video app for smart TVs, challenging YouTube
Elon Musk's company, X, will launch a video hosting app for Amazon and Samsung smart TVs next week, according to Fortune.
A source within the company responsible for the development of social networks also says that Musk aims to encourage users to watch long videos on the big screen and intends to compete with YouTube.
According to him, the new app looks "identical" to the YouTube TV application. According to Fortune, the online streaming platform Twitch and the messenger for exchanging encrypted messages, Signal, are also among the services with which Musk intends to compete soon with his new products.
Innovations for X
Lately, X has introduced many innovations. For example, developers decided to remove the ability to block users. When exactly it will happen is currently unknown.
At the same time, X will allow users to hide their likes, but the feature will only be available to paid users. X also may stop showing the number of likes and reposts that people receive in the future.
The owner of the social network, Elon Musk, has called artificial intelligence a real threat to the modern world. But it has recently become known that he plans to launch his own ChatGPT on X.
