The Russian military has increased its use of Starlink-equipped drones in an attempt to circumvent Ukraine's air defense system.
Shortly thereafter, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced the introduction of a so-called whitelist regime for Starlink terminals in Ukraine.
The Ministry of Defense will work with SpaceX to implement this initiative. For security reasons, authorized terminals will operate in stationary mode, and their speed will be limited when moving.
The Ukrainian military must undergo the verification procedure for Starlink terminals used for defense purposes as soon as possible, so that they are not disconnected after being blocked.
This morning, February 5, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense reported the first results of the blocking of illegal terminals. This has caused serious problems for the Russians on the front lines, complicating troop management and even partially halting assault operations.
