Easy recipe for nutritious, hearty bread

        Lentil bread is a nutritious product high in protein and fiber. It is gluten-free, suitable for vegetarians and those following a healthy diet, and can serve as an alternative to traditional wheat products, says Ukrainian food blogger Alex Mil.
Lentil bread: Simple recipe
Ingredients:
- Red lentils – 200 g
- Water – 500 ml
- Eggs – 2
- Sour cream (15%) – 100 g
- Baking powder – 1 tsp
- Salt – 1/2 tsp
- Paprika – 1/2 tsp
- Dried garlic – 1/2 tsp
- Ground pepper – 1/4 tsp
- For topping – sesame seeds, chili, oregano
Total cooking time – 50 minutes. Nutritional value per 100 g:
- Calories – 158
- Protein – 9.8 g
- Fat – 6.3 g
- Carbohydrates – 13.5 g
Instructions:
Soak the lentils in water overnight. Drain the water, then add the eggs, sour cream, salt, baking powder, pepper, paprika, and dried garlic, and blend everything in a blender.

Pour the batter into a baking pan lined with parchment paper and sprinkle with spices or seeds.
Bake at 180°C (356°F) for 45 minutes.
