Earthquake struck in the mountains of Romania
On October 25, an earthquake was recorded in the Vrancea Mountains region in Romania. Underground shocks with a magnitude of 4.0 (on the Richter scale) were felt there, according to the Main Special Control Center's website.
The earthquake's epicenter is located in Romania, in the Vrancea Mountains region, 127 km from the border with Ukraine at a depth of 131 km.
The earthquake poses no threat to the population of Ukraine. Vibrations may only be felt by individuals in a calm state inside buildings, especially on higher floors.
The last powerful earthquake from the Vrancea Mountains region was recorded on June 17, 2023, with a magnitude of 4.1 (on the Richter scale).
An earthquake was recorded in the Zakarpattia region on Thursday, September 14. The underground shock occurred near the border with Romania.
On September 6, seismologists recorded an earthquake in western Ukraine. The underground shock occurred near the village of Stary Vovchynets in the Chernivtsi region.
